Our Mission

Mueve SELA’s mission is to activate and connect community spaces, so everyone in Southeast Los Angeles (SELA) can safely access, enjoy, and benefit from them while long-term solutions for healthier neighborhoods take shape.

Our Projects

Identify areas of focus using Street Story narrative mapping

Exploratory walks, runs, and rides to enjoy the outdoors and log unsafe areas in SELA

Educate ourselves and each other through community-led forums

Talk, learn, gather, organize, and advocate for policy that improves community health

Activate underutilized spaces with positive programming

Sidewalks, bike paths, riverbeds, school tracks, and empty lots are spaces that can become places
